简介： 《魔装机神》是Banpresto公司在其发行的游戏超级机器人大战中加入的原创作品，最初由WinkySoft公司开发，从第2次机器人大战开始加入游戏，其后在超级机器人大战系列游戏中频繁出场，并且最终和Banpresto公司的其他原创作品整合到超级机器人大战原创世纪。Banpresto公司也在超级任天堂上发售游戏“超级机器人大战外传-魔装机神”，于PS推出“真魔装机神”，并推出动画。在WinkySoft和Banpresto的合作终止后，魔装机神逐渐淡出游戏。WinkySoft于2000年发行其续作圣灵机ライブレード。 魔装机、魔装机神发源的世界名为拉?基亚斯(ラ?ギアス)，位于地球内部歪曲的空间。拉?基亚斯的世界不存在水平线和地平线，太阳在中天不会移动。但是太阳的周期和地上一样，当太阳的光变暗、消失时，然后月亮就会代替太阳支配著世界。这个周期相当于地上北纬30到40度的岁差运动。 从拉?基亚斯可以经过称为“Gates”的接点来到地上。拉?基亚斯给人的时代感觉是中世纪的欧洲。 魔装机是为了对应拉?基亚斯中，拉古兰(ラングラン)王国的危机而制作出来的兵器，是集合了拉古兰王国的魔术、炼金学技术开发的。 操作魔装机不需要魔力，而是需要名为库拉那(ブラーナ)的能量。随著感情的波动，激发库拉那的流动，就可以发挥魔装机的全部性能。正魔装机制作了16架，当中性能最突出的4架就称为“魔装机神”，属于A级魔装机，剩下的便是B级魔装机。正魔装机各自对应著相应的守护精灵。4架魔装机神分别得到的是4大精灵：火、水、风、大地的加护。拉古兰政府军使用的是以正魔装机为蓝本做出来的量产机，属于C 级魔装机。 土木工程用的魔装机属于D级魔装机。 该作主角是安藤健，与之前所有游戏中是不同的故事框架。
